At HÄN, we view garments as lifelong investments in human architecture. In accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki) and EU Consumer Rights Directives, our return philosophy is divided into two distinct protocols based on the nature of your garment: Ready-to-Wear and Cut-to-Measure.

Applies to our standardized silhouettes and base layers.

In compliance with EU law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you receive your garment, without giving any reason.

To receive a full refund, the garment must be in its original, unaltered condition. In accordance with Chapter 6 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to handle and inspect the goods as you would in a physical store. If the garment has been used beyond this point, HÄN reserves the right to deduct the diminished value of the goods from the refund.

The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. We provide a pre-printed return shipping label in your box for convenience, the cost of which (€15) will be deducted from your final refund. In the case of a missing label, please contact our Client Services team to receive a PDF return document.

Applies to garments structurally tailored, altered, or woven to your specific biological measurements.

Legal Notice Regarding Custom Goods In accordance with Chapter 6, Section 16 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, and Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods manufactured to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.

Because Cut-to-Measure garments are engineered solely for your body, all sales are final and cannot be returned for a refund or exchanged for another size. Instead, we protect your fit through the HÄN Adaptation Guarantee:

• If your commissioned garment does not fit as agreed upon arrival, HÄN will cover up to €75 of local tailoring costs to achieve the correct kinetic fit. Alternatively, you may ship it back to our Helsinki office within 14 days for a complimentary alteration by our master tailors.

• If the garment possesses a manufacturing defect or deviates from the specific measurements you submitted, your statutory rights under Finnish law remain fully intact. We will repair, remanufacture, or fully refund the item at no cost to you.
